Mr Geoffrey Hone, Chairman of Trustees, Scobie and Claire Mackinnon Trust officially opened ‘The Scobie and Claire Mackinnon Stable Complex’ at Marcus Oldham College on Thursday 18 February. In excess of 120 graduates, special guests, staff and students attended the afternoon to view the new equine facilities.
The construction of the 9 stable, 5 day yard, 6 wash bay, tack and feed room equine complex completes Stage 1 of the College master plan for the Horse Business Management Course offered at Marcus Oldham. For the past 30 years over 800 graduates are now forging strong careers in the equestrian and racing industry.

The building of the stable complex came to fruition with major support from the Scobie and Claire Mackinnon Trust and other philanthropic supporters of Marcus Oldham. This opening follows on from the recent openings of both the Ivo Dean Centre and the Buckland Wing.
