Douglas Thornley Boyd (1896-1964 ) grazier and inspiring wool industry leader. Managed family properties near Koroit and Cobram before purchasing property at Deniliquin and Chatsworth Park, near Tabilk, Victoria which became his family home. Worked tirelessly for the Australian woolgrowing and grazing industry as President (1936-37) of the Graziers’ Federal Council , Chairman (1943-53) Australian Wool Board, Chairman (1940-48) International Wool Publicity and Research Executive, and Chairman ( 1949-50, 1951-52) Wool Bureau Inc., New York. |
