Speaker Bio

After serving in the U.S. Army, Stephen obtained a BSc (Biology) from California State College, Bakersfield, and a PhD (Metabolic Physiology) from the University of California, Davis. Stephen was a postdoctoral research associate and subsequently a Research Chemist at the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center. In 1983 he joined the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University where he received the Regents Professor Award and was awarded Texas A&M Faculty Fellow in 2014.
