Each year the Marcus Oldham College Foundation holds a Cocktail party in recognition of the valuable support given by the industry sponsors and friends of the College.
The evening is a special event for the Foundation and the rural and equine industries to come together and celebrate the history of Marcus Oldham College. A keynote speaker makes an address during the evening.
The cocktail party is held in Melbourne’s business district. Over the years, the Foundation has secured some interesting party venues including Lindsay Fox’s car museum, Rialto Towers, cruise on the Yarra River and Chapter House at St Paul’s Cathedral. In 2003, the cocktail party was held in the art gallery at 401 Collins Street owned by well-known Melbourne businessman, Gary Morgan.
Another highlight of the evening is the presentation of the scholarship winners, followed by selected speeches made by the students highlighting to guests the high calibre and commitment of the Marcus Oldham students for their future careers in the agriculture and equine industries.
