Success Stories - Prue Branagh

Agribusiness 2003

Armed with a wool classing qualification, Prue Branagh worked in woolsheds in her local Geelong region, but it was as a Fleecescan operator in Tasmania that she realized her passion for agriculture and subsequently enrolled in the Marcus Oldham one year Diploma of Agribusiness. One week after graduation in 2003, Prue embarked on her career as an Agribusiness Analyst with National Australia Bank.  “The Marcus course prepared me well for this career path and I really enjoy working with people on the land and the exposure to a diverse range of agricultural industries,” she said.  The geographical range of Prue’s clients covers the Geelong Surf Coast, the Western District of Victoria and the market gardens near Melbourne. Their businesses include beef, sheep, cropping, fishing, poultry, wineries, racing stables, livestock transport, shearing, agricultural contractors and stock agents.  Prue said, “Communication and customer relations are important skills. I find it very rewarding to help producers across diverse industries achieve their goals and contribute to the successful running of their enterprise.”
